The location is great. A 50 minute boat trip from Cairns and you can snorkel in coral with turtles right off the beach. Staff are excellent. However coral was damaged and water visibility is still poor from the hurricane.
The beds are not great. The food is seriously sub-standard and charged at first class prices.

Choosing for lunch Emeralds Restaurant, which is situated 500 feet away was a good idea. Patio added some charm: )

We had an amazing stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was perfect, right next to the beach and just off the coast of Cairns. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed including air conditioning, a mini-bar, and a flat-screen TV. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing excellent room service and even offering welcome drinks upon arrival. The hotel's facilities were top-notch, with a beautiful swimming pool and a sun terrace where we could relax and soak up the sun. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the option to have a picnic on the beach. The service here was truly exceptional, making our stay even more enjoyable.
We highly recommend this hotel to all. It is the perfect place for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

Green Island is a small place with plenty to do. The resort is a very high standard, with beautiful rooms, friendly staff and superb food in a beautiful location. I'm actually very fussy, and a lot of places disappoint me, but I was very happy with my stay on GI. The room was pre-cooled, spotlessly clean, and not a hint of mustiness or hotel smell, despite the climate. The outstanding feature for me was the food. HIgh quality fresh ingredients prepared to perfection at reasonable prices.

Very friendly staff.Lovely beach and reef.
Too little 'private' hotel space: most of island and some hotel facilities 'taken over' by day visitors.

My recent stay at the resort was absolutely amazing! The location is breathtaking, with beautiful blue waters and sandy beaches. I had the chance to go snorkeling and kayaking, and the snorkeling gear provided by the resort was a great convenience. The activities offered were a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. I especially enjoyed the fish feeding and sunset drinks, where I had the privilege of watching the sunset on the beach. The buffet breakfast was incredible, offering a wide variety of delicious food. I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.

Fantastic location and very friendly and helpful staff. Reef right at resort, so you can snorkle without having to go further out to reef.

The hotel is situated in a great location just off the coast of Cairns. It's only a short distance to the outer reef, and there are plenty of activities to choose from on the island. The restaurant has great views, and it's perfect for couples and families alike.
The rooms are small and outdated.

The location of this resort, just off the coast of Cairns, offers easy access to the beach and stunning ocean views. Guests can enjoy a relaxing stroll right off the beach and take in the beauty of the surroundings. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, providing a comfortable stay. The large bathroom with a separate shower and spa bath adds a touch of luxury. The friendly and welcoming staff provide attentive service, ensuring a pleasant experience. The buffet breakfast offers a great selection, with something to satisfy every palate.
The resort lacks some essential amenities that would enhance the overall experience.
